LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

As a descendant of white settlers, I recognize that I work, play, and live on unceded land. In the spirit of reconciliation and gratitude, I acknowledge and honour the traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the peoples of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, including the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai, Tsuut’ina, and Stoney Nakoda First Nations, as well as the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations. The traditional Blackfoot name of this place is “Mohkinstsis” which we now call the City of Calgary.
