Hi, I’m Leah Beech.
I’m passionate about helping people create connections with themselves and others. I’m a registered psychologist in Alberta and I’ve worked in mental health for 9+ years in education, non-profit and private-practice settings. I love connecting with clients who are looking for counselling for trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, and relationships.
I use both talk therapy and experiential approaches in my work with clients. Ultimately, my hope is that I can help you to foster a more gentle, compassionate relationship with yourself and to develop the capacity to show up how you want in your relationships with others.
I value curiosity, humility, compassion, and a learner’s mind and I work hard to uphold these values as a therapist. I’m on my own journey in life and I’m here to support you on yours!
Services Offered
Couples Therapy
Relationships can be hard and you’re not alone in feeling this. Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors can be complicated, even with the person we’re closest to. Couples therapy can support you and your partner in untangling the threads of your communication, understand your conflict patterns, and build more connection.
Trauma Therapy
Trauma can be debilitating and affects both your mind and body. Together, we can understand how you have responded to trauma and create a supportive environment to experience care towards yourself and process difficult memories and emotions.
Anxiety Counselling
Anxiety has its grip on you, and it’s been a struggle to get through your day without worry, stress, and a feeling that you’re failing. I’ll support you in building confidence in your ability to respond to anxiety mindfully and navigate the challenges of life.
